FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the Tibetan Acupressure System (TAS):
Q: Does the treatment cause any discomfort?
A: Typically, the client experiences deep relaxation and frequently, a peaceful meditative state. Since the pressure points used during the treatment correspond to body parts, organs and systems, there may be temporary, mild soreness in the associated areas of the body after treatment.
Q: How often do I need to get treatments?
A: Like most other treatments, this greatly depends on the nature of your condition. Chronic conditions will most likely require several treatments or a series of treatments to relieve and dissipate ailments. But you will definitely feel some difference even after one treatment.
Q: How is TAS better than Shiatsu, Reflexology or Chinese Acupressure?
A: Similar to these other alternative healing modalities, TAS uses energy reflex points to treat the body and mind as a holistic system. TAS uses the power of intention and focus of both the mind of the practitioner and the client. The electrical nature of the manipulation, the way it interacts with the nervous system and the use of the finger and hand position is unique to the TAS system. These factors cause a level of depth in the treatment that sets up the special quality of extremely deep relaxation, physically, emotionally and mentally.
