TIBETAN ACUPRESSURE TRAININGTibetan Acupressure System (TAS) is an ancient system of reflexive pressure point healing, which accesses the body's natural corrective energies in order to bring balance to the body as a whole. The technique is non-invasive and the effects are profound. TAS can be used in treating specific conditions including chronic pain, mental distress or the overall well being of the body. The reflex points, are found within the four main maps of the body, the feet, hands, head and shoulder blades. These points are directly related to all of the body systems, as well as the meridian pathways. The practitioner applies rapid finger pressure with index fingers and sometimes the thumb, to specific reflex points resulting in a restorative effect in the body, and encouraging an increase in energy and immediate endorphin release. To treat, in the classical style, the person receiving remains clothed and seated upright in a chair (the system translates easily to use with a client on a massage table). The focus, breath, and intent of the practitioner are additional dynamics used in the system contributing to the overall vitality of the healing experience. An entire TAS classical treatment takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. A CD version of the system may be used while doing the treatment to increase the focus of the practitioner, and enhance the relaxation of the client. Tibetan Acupressure System Training Details
